claim No. 2004266 done by Geohazards Inc. on July 14,
2004, this property has been identified as having
sinkhole activity. Based on the results of this
investigation, Geohazards, Inc. is of the opinion that
the paleosink is in a state of reactivation. Geohazards
Inc. has conducted a site investigation at this
residence and based on the data acquired - in particular
the SPT tests and GPR/ER, a possible contributing cause
of distress may be due to subsurface raveling activity.
Considering the stratigraphy, a common form of
remediation is via underpinning. The remediation
recommendation for this property is as follows: 37 pin
piles(6-8 feet on center, installed to 30 foot average
depth). Sinkhole remediation should only be performed by
licensed, bonded, and insured contractors and the remediations must be performed to the recommendations of this
